Under-fire Minister of sports and youth development, Solomon Dalung has hailed President Buhari's giant strides towards empowering youths in the country.
He spoke on Tuesday in Abuja at the Special Town Hall Meeting for youths held at the banquet hall of the Presidential Villa.
The controversial minister highlighted the many achievements of the present administration in curbing youth unemployment, mentioning the social intervention programme, N-Power outfit, massive recruitment in government parastatals as just but a few.
Dalung also promised Nigerians that the incoming 2017 will be a great year for Nigerian sports while admitting he has learnt from his mistakes.
This assurance is apt following an abysmal sports performance for Nigeria in 2016 marred by government's inability to pay outstanding athletes like the recently crowned Champions of Africa - the Super Falcons.
